Day 24
Christmas Eve – Small light, big impact.
Today, things will be quiet. Candles will burn, we will sit together—and remember a simple truth: light always conquers darkness. No matter how small it is, as soon as there is light, darkness recedes. Christmas invites us to pass on this light at home: in a glance that gives warmth; in words that heal; in time that truly matters. Perhaps today it is a sincere "I'm sorry," a laugh at the table, a prayer for someone who is missing. Small gestures create a sense of security – and spaces become bright.
Our wish: Carry this light into your family, into friendships, and into the days between the years. Where you bring light, darkness loses its power. May peace fill your home, wisdom guide your decisions, and joy accompany you.
Concrete ideas for today (family/friends)
- Light moment: Light a candle together and each say one thing you are thankful for and one wish.
- Reconciliation first: If you like, say a sentence of closeness: "I'm sorry that ..." – "I forgive you."
- Device-free hour: Eat, talk, laugh—without screens.
- For those who are missing: Light a candle for people who are not here today; say their name briefly and make a wish.
- Evening blessing: Place your hand on each other's shoulder and say, "God bless and protect you. May He fill your heart with light and peace."
"Let your light shine—this is how God is honored." Matthew 5:16, the Bible
