Scalable Educational Initiatives: Axsos Develops Digital Course Portal for Oxfam

Client: Oxfam Industry: NGOs and international development cooperation Service area: Digital education and process automation

Oxfam is a global NGO dedicated to combating inequality, poverty, and injustice. In Palestine, Gaza, and Jerusalem in particular, Oxfam works with 29 local partner organizations to promote gender equality, human rights, and educational projects. A central component of this work is the organization of training and continuing education programs for young people and local professionals. To make this educational work more efficient, accessible, and measurable, Axsos developed a digital education portal in collaboration with Oxfam.

Manual registration, lack of a platform, and no access for participants with little digital experience

When Educational Programs Fail Because of Outdated Processes

Before partnering with Axsos, managing training for Oxfam’s local partners was a time-consuming and error-prone process. Registration was done manually via email and then entered into Excel spreadsheets. There was no central platform for managing courses, participants, and learning progress.

Targeted, digital management of the programs was virtually impossible. For many potential participants without prior digital skills, access was simply out of reach. Learning progress could not be tracked, evaluations were lacking, and scaling the program was structurally impossible.

A secure, user-friendly education portal with Power BI integration and automated management

More Than Just a Technical System: Combining Process Knowledge and IT Expertise

Axsos partnered with Oxfam to develop a secure, user-friendly system for digital course management. It is particularly worth noting that Axsos contributed not only IT expertise but also extensive experience in management processes—an added value that other providers were unable to offer.

01

Online Registration and Application

Participants can register and apply directly through the education portal. The process is simple, accessible, and can be used even by people with limited digital skills.

02

Automated Course Creation and Participant Management

Course administrators create and manage courses directly within the platform. Automated participant management completely replaces manual Excel lists.

03

Real-time tracking of course progress

Learning progress is tracked in real time and can be viewed at any time. This enables well-informed management of educational programs based on up-to-date data.

04

Power BI Integration for Live Reporting

The integration of Power BI enables real-time analysis and transparent reporting. Oxfam and its partner organizations receive up-to-date metrics on course enrollment, progress, and results at any time.

Iterative development through workshops, feedback loops, and strategic consulting

Technology implementation and organizational support from a single source

Working closely with Oxfam and local partner organizations, the system was implemented in several phases. Axsos conducted interactive workshops to identify needs and provided iterative support throughout the development process. The combination of technological expertise and in-depth experience in management processes proved particularly valuable.

Axsos provided support not only with the technical implementation but also with strategic advice on user guidance, form structure, and reporting. The rollout was accompanied by training sessions and feedback loops. The result is a system that performs well in day-to-day use and has been embraced by all stakeholders.

04

Automated Registration and Management

Registration, participant management, and progress tracking are fully automated, significantly reducing the workload for administrators.

Digital Education as a Strategic Resource: Scalable, Secure, and Effective

Axsos: A Partner That Thinks Beyond Technical Implementation

In Axsos, Oxfam has found a partner that thinks far beyond mere technical implementation. The combination of IT expertise and an understanding of business processes has led to a solution that is not only functional but also creates real added value.

The platform enables scalable educational work in sensitive regions while also strengthening the internal structures of partner organizations. Based on these positive experiences, new, larger projects with Axsos are already in the planning stages.
